USA Dance, Royal Palm Chapter

Dear Royal Palm DanceSport friends and supporters:
The Royal Palm Chapter of USA Dance, Inc. invites you to participate as a Sponsor or Donor and support one of the most highly regarded all-amateur dancesport competitions in South Florida and in the United States.  On Saturday, January 28, 2017, we will present the 2017 USA Dance Royal Palm DanceSport Competition – “Winter Frolic,” the 14th Annual Winter Frolic DanceSport Extravaganza by USA Dance, Royal Palm Chapter.

The annual Royal Palm DanceSport Competition has gained regional and national recognition as an outstanding local event. The Competition – as well as our beautiful Competition venue in Sunny South Florida, the Ultimate “Winter Frolic” vacation destination – draws dancers and spectators from all over Florida and many other parts of the United States, as well as from Canada.

For the 14th year in a row, the Competition will be held at the beautiful and nationally renowned Goldcoast Ballroom, 1415 Lyons Road, Coconut Creek, Florida. Goldcoast Ballroom, with its wonderful 45′ X 65′ solid floating oak dance floor, is one of the premier Ballrooms in the United States. It draws crowds to its featured dances and events from across the country and the world.

The Royal Palm DanceSport Competition has become one of the largest and most prestigious local all-amateur ballroom competitions in Florida and in the United States.  DanceSport Athlete couples, including nationally ranked couples, from Florida as well as from several other states and from Canada, will participate in all age groups, from Preteen to Youth to Adult to Senior, and skill/ proficiency levels, from beginner/ Bronze to Silver to Gold to Open Novice to Pre-Championship to Championship. The Competition is Open to the World, and amateur couples from around the world are invited to participate. The Competition presents Dancesport enjoyment to the public in all styles of dance, including American Smooth, American Rhythm, International Standard, and International Latin, as well as fun Dance Challenges in Hustle, West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango, and Theater Arts.

We encourage all of you to become Scholarship Donors – at whatever level you can – to support our worthy Scholarship program. See Contribution Categories below for an explanation of the different levels of Sponsorship Contributions and Scholarship Donations, and the benefits of each.

All Scholarship Donors will recognized in the Competition Program and on this website (unless you express a preference to remain anonymous).

Advertising Opportunities:

You are also invited to place advertisements in our Competition Program, which is distributed to all spectators and dancers.  Many of the programs are saved as keepsakes, thus providing years of repeated exposure to the advertisements.  In addition to this form of advertising, we offer advertising here on our Competition website (www.RoyalPalmDanceSport.org), as well as advertising at the Competition venue during the Competition, including banner advertising around the perimeter of the dance floor, or the opportunity to become a Sponsoring Vendor and have a table at the Competition.

About USA Dance – A Worthy Cause to Support

Our mission is to improve the quantity and quality of ballroom dance.  We promote the excitement and energy of all styles of ballroom dancing – both competitive and recreational – through our chapters in each state. USA Dance’s goal is for everyone to ballroom dance. Each year, we’ve grown in:

  • number of dancers we train
  • competitions, workshops, and social dances nationwide
  • social and competitive ballroom dancing for college, secondary and junior high schools

We focus on educational programs for the public about the healthful aspects of recreational ballroom dancing and competitive ballroom dancing.

These programs emphasize the physical, mental and social benefits of dancing, and include the expansion of dancing skills among those of all ages and capabilities.

USA Dance is a nationwide nonprofit corporation of thousands of volunteers who love ballroom dancing and appreciate the excitement and romance – as well as the social and health benefits – that ballroom dancing brings into their lives.

Competitions
USA Dance and its 167 local Chapters throughout the United States hold all-amateur DanceSport competitions throughout the year in most cities and states in the Nation.

Each year, USA Dance and its local Chapters conduct local, regional, and national dance competitions throughout the U.S. United States National titles and the opportunity to represent the United States at World Championships are awarded at the annual National DanceSport Championships, sponsored by USA Dance.

National champions are selected and USA Dance then helps to finance their participation in the World DanceSport Championships and World Games – which are held for Olympic-recognized sports that are not yet in the Olympic Program.

Among the goals and objectives listed by USA Dance’s DanceSport Division are the following:

  • “To organize and support programs to increase the number of competitors and to assist in the elevation of dancing skills among amateurs competitors.
  • To organize and foster educational programs among the public about the health, training, equipment, performance analysis, and sporting aspects of amateur dancesport.
  • To organize and foster programs which assist in the expansion of amateur dancesport and assist in the elevation of dancing skills among amateurs including beginner development, intermediate development and elite level development.
  • To encourage and provide assistance to amateur athletic programs and competitions for disabled individuals in dancesport, including, where feasible, the expansion of opportunities for meaningful participation by disabled individuals in dancesport competition.
  • To provide and coordinate technical information on physical training, equipment design, coaching, and performance analysis.
  • To encourage and support research, development, and dissemination of information in the areas of sports medicine and safety.
  • To formulate standards and rules relating to the eligibility, organization, and conduct criteria for amateur dancesport events and ensure that these rules and standards are observed and maintained.
  • To provide an equal opportunity to amateur athletes, coaches, trainers, managers, administrators, and officials to participate in amateur dancesport competitions, without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, or national origin, and with fair notice and opportunity for a hearing to any amateur athlete, coach, trainer, manager, administrator, or official before declaring such individual ineligible to participate.
  • To keep amateur athletes informed of policy matters and reasonably reflect the views of such athletes in its policy decisions.
  • To organize and foster programs for dancesport in colleges, high schools, middle schools, and primary schools.”

At grass roots level in communities, colleges and secondary schools all over the country USA Dance provides opportunities for the public to engage in affordable social ballroom dancing and competitive dancing. Building and strengthening your organization’s brand through effective visibility associated with a good, healthful, and increasingly popular cause is one of the key potential benefits to sponsoring our event.

Sponsorship will serve the interest of three constituent groups:

  • The business interest of the sponsoring company
  • The event, its participants, and the USA Dance membership
  • The sponsor’s direct consumers

Brand Positioning
The USA Dance marketing committee is committed to identifying and securing branding opportunities for sponsors to expand their marketing to the dance community. Through skillful use of brand positioning, USA Dance will open up new markets and maximize media exposure for your products and services.

Sponsorship goals include:

  • Maximizing your company’s brand awareness
  • Increasing brand loyalty
  • Reaching new potential customers
  • Introducing new products or services
